Hi everyone! I’m trying to figure out the correct flange size and I keep seeing advice to measure nipple diameter with a ruler, but I’m a bit confused about the best way to do it accurately. When measuring: Do you measure before or after pumping? Are you measuring just the nipple or including part of the areola? Should the ruler be placed straight across or wrapped around? And how precise does it need to be (mm vs inches)? I want to make sure I’m doing it correctly so I don’t end up with discomfort or poor output. If anyone has tips, step-by-step advice, or personal experience, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks so much! 💛
